Interactive games and activities kept the energy high, and the night ended with a lively DJ party, uniting everyone in celebration.

How to Excel Summer Internship

Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Nagpur recently hosted Prof. Sandeep Bhattacharya, former Head of Corporate Relations at SIBM Pune, who shared key strategies for securing Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) and excelling in internships.
He covered the 5Ws and 1H of customer-centric behavior and the 7 SIP dimensions: You, The Boss, The Company, The Project, The Outcome, The Learning, and Review. Prof. Bhattacharya emphasized the importance of a learning attitude, a positive mindset, and proper etiquette. Students gained practical tools, a PPO guide, and advice on networking and handling situations where a PPO might not be offered.
The session also included book recommendations to broaden perspectives. We appreciate Prof. Bhattacharya’s insights and Dr. Shailesh Rastogi, Director of SIBM Nagpur, for organizing this valuable event.

The 12-day PADANYAS event for the 2024-26 batch at SIBM Nagpur has concluded with a vibrant ‘cultural event’. We are deeply grateful for the cherished memories and the enriching experience it provided.

Driving Sustainability through Green Products

Symbiosis Institute of Business Management Nagpur recently organized an inspiring competition titled “Driving Sustainability through Green Products” on June 27, 2024, targeting the batch of 2024-26. This competition was designed not just as an event but as a catalyst for instilling sustainability consciousness and a deep commitment to positive environmental impact among participating students. It provided a platform for them to demonstrate their creativity by crafting innovative products using sustainable or recycled materials, all while aligning with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The competition proved to be more than just a showcase of creativity; it was a comprehensive learning experience. Students gained invaluable skills in effective resource management, strategic planning, decision-making, and collaborative teamwork. These skills are essential in today’s world, where sustainable practices are increasingly prioritized across industries. Moreover, the competition underscored the importance of responsibility and sustainability consciousness among the future generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs.

Some interesting products designed by the students were banana peel soap, solar-run garden lights, floating garden, solar charger.

AGRO-SPHERE

AGRO-SPHERE an immersive induction program for our MBA-FABM Batch 2024-26, aimed at delving into the dynamic world of Agribusiness. This initiative provided our students with hands-on exposure to critical aspects of the agricultural sector, including agro-marketing, agro-industries, agro-finance, and agricultural markets.

Under the expert guidance of Dr. Sonal Purohit, Dr. Ganesh Rede, Dr. Arif Abad, Dr. Satishkumar, and Dr. Rahul Singh, our students embarked on field visits to key locations such as APMC Nagpur, Agro Industries, Agro Finance Institutes, and Agricultural Markets.

Special thanks to Dr. Shailesh Rastogi Sir, Director of SIBM Nagpur, for his invaluable support in facilitating this enriching learning experience for our students.

Padanyas-24 Induction Program 2024-26: Shaping Futures through Excellence and Innovation

Reflecting on Padanyas-24’s Induction Program for the 2024-26 academic batch fills me with pride as we celebrate a successful journey of academic and personal growth. From 17^th June 2024 to 29^th June 2024, our program immersed students in a dynamic blend of industry insights, teamwork development through ice breaking sessions, and practical experiences in fields. Our commitment to sustainability was showcased through initiatives promoting eco-friendly practices and a Sustainability Competition where students pitched innovative green product ideas. Technical proficiency was honed through sessions on financial analysis using CMIE Prowess and Bloomberg terminals, supported by Moodle’s digital learning platform for seamless course management and collaboration. A vibrant cultural event celebrated our diverse community, fostering mutual understanding and respect. I commend our students, faculty, and staff for their dedication, and I look forward to seeing our graduates make a positive impact in their careers and communities.

3rd International Conference

The 3rd International Conference hosted by the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Nagpur, on April 20th, 2024, delved deep into the transformative implications of AI and emerging edge technologies on contemporary business landscapes, conducted through an online platform. As thought leaders, researchers, and industry pioneers convened virtually, the conference served as a crucible for dissecting the profound impact of cutting-edge technologies on business paradigms worldwide.
Prof. Sumanta Singha from Rawls College of Business, Texas Tech University, U.S.A has delivered the keynote speech and Prof. Jayanta Banerjee, Associate Professor and Associate Head (PG Programme), School of Business, MAHE Dubai Campus has provided the Valedictory Speech. More than 100 participants had participated in the conference and presented the papers in three tracks. There were 12 prizes won by different participants from various areas.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the campus, Scribbling Day drew to a close, leaving indelible imprints upon the hearts and t-shirts of the batch of 2024. Though their MBA life had reached its conclusion, the memories forged on this day would endure as a testament to the enduring spirit of camaraderie and the bonds of friendship that transcended the confines of academia. With heads held high and hearts full, they stepped into the future, carrying with them the legacy of Scribbling Day and the promise of new beginnings.
