Established in 2019, SIBM Nagpur is a constituent of Symbiosis International University that offers MBA and MBA-FABM.   • Professional Development Programs:

Faculty members actively engage in ongoing professional development programs facilitated not only by the Student and Teaching Learning Resource Center (STLRC), SIU PUNE, but also through various other workshops and training sessions. These programs equip faculty with the latest teaching methodologies, instructional technologies, and pedagogical approaches, ensuring that they remain at the forefront of educational innovation.

Institute of Business Management, Nagpur, in collaboration with Symbiosis Teaching Learning Resource Centre (STLRC), Pune organised a two-day Faculty Development Program on 4th & 5th May 2023 in Computer Lab, SIBM, Nagpur on “How to avoid desk rejection in the top journals? & About Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Structural Equation Modeling”. The resource person of FDP was Dr. Debarun Chakraborty, Associate Professor & Research Head, SIBM, Nagpur.   He practically explained in the lab how to use SPSS software for analysing statistical data in less time with accuracy.

  • Innovative Instructional Methods:

Diversity in instructional methods is a hallmark of our teaching philosophy at SIBM Nagpur. From interactive lectures to case-based learning, group projects, and presentations, our faculty members employ innovative approaches to foster critical thinking and practical skill development among students. By integrating real-world scenarios into the curriculum, they ensure that learning is relevant and applied.

Students make judgments on the basis of the news and accordingly sell and buy stock. Finomics Club organized Trader’s Den event on 19th December 2022 at 6:00 pm. The objective of the event was to introduce students to the trade world, provide them real-world experience, and encourage healthy competition among them.

EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING IN OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT GAME DESCRIPTION AND RULES 16th December 2022 

OBJECTIVE OF THE ACTIVITY: To achieve more co-operative behaviour between team members who are pursuing shared goals.

The Heteuvadah event was organized by Team FabVerse (FABM Club) on 8th September 2022. The competition was held between the students to identify the name of the company & its details according to their logos. The winning team was declared based on a quiz competition. 

  • Industry-Academia Collaboration:

Our faculty members recognize the importance of industry-academia collaboration in providing students with a holistic understanding of the business world. Through guest lectures, seminars, workshops, and industry visits, they facilitate interactions between students and industry experts, providing valuable insights and networking opportunities.

  1. Industrial Visit to ‘Dinshaw’s Dairy Food Pvt Ltd” was organized by OPCLAVA Club on 13th  December 2022 with 21 students from MBA SEM-II with Supply Chain Management specialization and  28 students from MBA(FABM)
  2. The Industrial Visit to ‘AMUL – VASUDHARA DAIRY” was organized by OPCLAVA Club on 15th July 2022 with the objective of making the students to understand about the operations and supply chain activities related to manufacturing industry.
  3. Session delivered by Mr Colin Mendes, Head of Human Resources at Voltas. A guest lecture was organized by the CorpConnect committee on 17th September 2022 to understand the need for capacity building and sustain skills that companies need the most in the era of a continuously evolving organization.
  4. Session delivered by Mr. Pankaj Joshi, Commercial Marketing Director at Beam Suntory. A guest lecture was organized by CorpConnect committee  on 29th July 2022 in the Seminar Hall of SIBM, Nagpur with the objective to understand the importance of adaptability and change for an organization to survive in this competitive world.
  5. Session delivered Mr. Rajeshwar Tripathi, Chief HR Officer, AFS, and Member of the Group Executive Board of Mahindra on “Building Resilience”  (16th December 2022).
  6. Session delivered Mr. Manoj Bhatia, Vice President (Asia Head, Non-IT) at Morgan Stanley A guest lecture on  “VUCA & Supply Chain Management” was organized by CorpConnect committee  on 20th January 2023 for the students of SIBM, Nagpur in the Auditorium.

Through quizzes, assignments, exams, and peer evaluations, faculty members assess student learning outcomes and ensure that students remain actively engaged in their educational journey.
